The Greater Love Center for Women's Ministries was founded in April 2016 when 42 women completed their peer counseling training and committed themselves to serving hurting women in Jinja, Uganda. The center is a non-profit, non-denominational ministry for women, promoting emotional and spiritual healing as well as business empowerment training and support. The center's goal is to provide crisis intervention with a spiritual emphasis and improve the quality of life for hurting women by providing peer counseling at no cost, support groups, Bible studies, prayer groups, educational opportunities, and business empowerment training in a loving atmosphere to women within the community. We are a safe place for hurting women to come in order to receive non-judgmental listening, comfort, encouragement and support. We are here to point women to Jesus Christ, and to encourage them to draw closer to God through Christ.
We are not professional therapists. We recognize that some women may need the help of someone more extensively trained than we are.
Though we are part of the universal church body, we are not a church. We want to provide a welcome atmosphere for hurting women, whatever their circumstances and whatever their church affiliation. We encourage church attendance and provide suggestions that may meet their expectations.
Possible Areas of Ministry
Abuse, childlessness, co-dependency, death, depression, divorce, eating disorders, fears and phobias, jail, illness and disability, parenting, pregnancy, promiscuity, relationships, self-esteem, sexuality, singleness, spirituality, suicide, woundedness from childhood.
The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to bring good news to the afflicted. He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the physical and spiritual captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…. To grant consolation and joy to those who grieve in Zion. Giving them the crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and the garment of praise instead of despair.

Steps to Emotional and Spiritual Healing
Step 1—Admit the struggle and hurt. John 8:32 Know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
Step 2—Share the struggle with someone else. Mark 4:22 For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought into the open. James 5:16 Confess to one another your faults, your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins (Amp). Psalm 23:3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away.
Step 3—Bring the situation of suffering to Jesus and ask Him to heal you. Isa. 53:5b By His stripes we are healed (KJV). With the stripes that wounded Him, we are healed and made whole (Amp). Psalm 107:20 He sent forth His word and healed them. Phil. 3:13b, 14 Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (NASB).
